This being Phase I of the Stony Plain Care Centre re-development opened in April 2006. There is one 30-bed cottage to house residents with Alzheimer's or dementia. Each side of the cottage consists of 15 beds and residents will have their own private bedroom, including bathroom, and a large closet that includes locking storage. The Good Samaritan Mountain View Centre opened in Hinton in 2002. Recently, the facility was converted from continuing care/supportive housing to Designated Assisted Living (DAL) to better serve the Hinton community. This facility is adjacent to the Hinton Hospital and is linked via a pedway on the second floor.

The Good Samaritan Southgate Care Centre was built in 1973 with an addition made in 1991. This facility houses three different populations; frail elderly, psycho geriatric illness or developmentally disabled and Alzheimer's type dementia. The addition to this facility became home to Occupational, Physical and Recreational Therapy, Pastoral Care, Social Work and Volunteer Services.
